This event is
Asia¡¯s first ever, women¡¯s triathlon. More than just a race, it provides
a supportive and fun environment for women of all ages and athletic
abilities to race.

This event is open to
all members of the fairer sex, not necessarily the weaker sex. |
|
2. |
Participants may register individually or through their schools or
companies but their participation will be strictly according to
their age group within each division. |
|
3. |
Participants
under twenty-one (21) on race day will require parental/guardian's
consent to register for the event. Age is calculated based on Age on
Race Day. Participants must be fourteen (14) years and above to take
part in the Super Sprint distance; sixteen (16) years and above for
the Sprint distance and eighteen (18) years and above for the
Olympic distance. This applies to relays as well. |

Registration
will be done online at our event website. |

Limited vacancies are available for the race. The closing date for
registration is on 05 September 2007. |

Organisers will not be responsible for any disputes arising from
incomplete entry details. |

On-the-spot
registrations will not be entertained. |
|

The
Organisers reserve the right to close registration earlier should
participation reach our capacity before the closing date. |

An
email confirmation with the Race information of the individual
participant will be sent to their registered email and successful
race registration with payment. Any discrepancy from the intended
registration should be reported to the Race Organisers. |

Completion of the online entry form evidences the Participants'
agreement to abide by the relevant rules and regulation of the
Triathlon Association of Singapore (TAS). These rules apply at the
material time and to all and any ruling of the Organisers, TAS and
the Singapore Sports Council (SSC). |

For
participants under the age of 21 years, please download the

General
Information

Completion of this entry form evidences that Participants' agreement
to abide by the relevant rules and regulations of Triathlon
Association of Singapore (TAS). These rules apply at the material
time and to all and any ruling of the Organisers, the TAS and
Singapore Sports Council (SSC). |
|
• |
Whilst
every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organisers to
ensure the participants' safety, participants partake in this event
at their own risk and the Organisers and their appointed officials
shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or
otherwise, and howsoever arising. |
|
• |
Once
the registration form has been duly processed, there will be no fee
refund for those participants who, for whatever reason, eventually
do not take part. |
|
• |
The
Organisers reserve the right to use any photographs, motion picture,
recordings or any other record of this race and its participants for
any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising. |
|
• |
The
detailed "Wave" starts for the event will be published on the
website one week after the close of entries. |

Race Instructions
|
REPORTING
TIME |
|
• |
Participants
are to report at least one (1) hour before their respective race
start times. |
|
• |
Upon
arrival, please proceed to place your running gear at the TA
(Transition Area) indicated with your race number to place your
bike. |
|
• |
Please
proceed to the run start area ten (10) minutes before the scheduled
start of your wave. |
|
• |
A
grace period of fifteen (15) minutes after the commencement of the
race will be given for latecomers. Anyone who reports later than
this grace period will not be allowed to participate in the race.
Latecomers should be aware that their timings would have commenced
when the race begins.

PRIZES |
|
• |
At the
end of the event, all the results of each category will be declared. |
|
• |
|
Prizes will be awarded to the top three (3)
participants of each race category. |
|
|
• |
Participants who complete the race will each be awarded the finisher
medal and Tee-Shirt. |

|
SWIMMING |
|
• |
Swimsuits
must be worn. |
|
• |
Swimmers
must wear the swim caps provided by the Organisers. |
|
• |
Swim goggles
may be worn. |
|
• |
Fins,
paddles, pool buoys, snorkels or any other swimming aids are not
allowed. |
|
• |
Wet suits
are not allowed. |
|
• |
Support
crews are not allowed. Any assistance received during the swim
inclusive of medical aid will result in immediate disqualification. |
|
• |
No persons
other than the participants and officials are permitted in the
swimming area. |
|
• |
Swimmers in
difficulty shall signal to the escorting boats/canoes for
assistance. |
|
• |
For
the Olympic Distance Events, the swimming course will be closed
fifty (50) minutes after the start of the Race. Participants still
in the water after this will not be allowed to continue in the race. |
|
• |
All
warming-up for the swim must be conducted within the designated
area. |

|
CYCLING |
|
• |
Cyclists
must ensure that their competition numbers are clearly visible at
the back of their adorned apparel at all times. |
|
• |
No bare
torso is allowed at all times. |
|
• |
A
participant may run or walk with her bicycle. |
|
• |
Cyclists are to keep to the left side of the road and are reminded
to observe traffic rules at all times. |
|
• |
All
participants will have to perform their own repairs if their
bicycles should break down. Changing of bicycles is permitted at
designated point(s). |
|
• |
Support
vehicles and crews are not permitted. |
|
• |
All
cyclists must wear helmets approved by the following recognised
testing authorities: American National Standard Institute (ANSI
Z-90.4), Snell Memorial Foundation & National Swedish Board of
Consumer Policy. |
|
• |
The
helmet must be worn before the cyclist removes her bicycle from the
bicycle rack and has to stay on the cyclist¡¯s head until she has
placed her bicycle back securely at the allocated spot on the
bicycle rack. |
|
• |
All
participants are encouraged to have their bicycles inspected by
professional bicycle shops before their race. It is the
participants¡¯ responsibility to ensure that their bicycles and
bicycle brakes are in good working condition. |
|
• |
No drafting
is allowed. |
|
• |
If the
ChampionChip system is used, all cyclists in relay teams must cycle
with their ChampionChip strapped to their left ankle during the
cycling leg and pass the ChampionChip to their runners at the
designated area. |

|
RUNNING |
|
• |
If the
ChampionChip system is used, all runners in relay teams must ensure
that their ChampionChip are securely strapped to their left ankles
before running. |
|
• |
All runners
must wear their race numbers in front of their racing attire at all
times. |
|
• |
Support
vehicles or pacers are not allowed. |
|
• |
Runners must run on the designated path for the entire route.
Failure to do so may result disqualification. |
|
• |
No running
with bare torso. |

INCLEMENT
WEATHER |
|
• |
In the
event of inclement weather, the Organisers reserve the right to
delay the commencement of the race. |
|
• |
Should
the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organisers
reserve the right to cancel the race without any refund. |
|
• |
The race
organisers will take all necessary steps to allow the race to
continue. However, the organisers reserve the right to delay the
start of each wave, modify the race or cancel the race without
refund, in the event of unforeseen bad weather. |

|
MEDICAL
ADVISORY |
|
• |
The
sport of triathlon is physically demanding. If you are not sure of
your physical health, please seek the advice from a medical
professional before you register for the race. |
|
• |
Participants are advised against the consumption of alcohol or
stimulants or any kind of drugs within twenty-four (24) hours of
their race. |
|
• |
Participants
are to ensure that they are well-rested and well-hydrated on day of
race. |
|
• |
Participants
are advised to dress lightly. |
|
• |
Should
any participant feel unwell during the course of race, she should
stop and seek immediate medical attention at designated medical
posts. |
|
• |
The
Organisers reserve the right to remove any participant deemed
physically incapable of continuing the race. |

¡¡ |
|
OTHER
MATTERS |
|
• |
A
participant who protests against another competitor or wishes to
notify the Organisers of a violation by a contestant must do so in
writing to the Organisers within thirty (30) minutes of her finish
time. A deposit of S$50 must accompany the appropriate protest and
will be refunded if the protest is successful. |
|
• |
Only the
official number tags issued by the Organisers may be used. |
|
• |
If the
ChampionChip system is used, all participants must return the
ChampionChip to the organisers immediately after the race. The cost
of replacing the chip of and its strip is S$50. |
|
• |
The
Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and regulations
without prior notification. |

down to East Coast Parkway, Carpark F2, to support your family, friends
and colleagues. A triathlon carnival will be held, where you can enjoy
